HASTINGS IN THE AGE OF THE DINOSAURS

Although the last dinosaurs died out around 65 million years ago, their bones can still be found in rocks nearHastings.

Where to find fossils and dinosaur footprints in the local area will be explained and illustrated by Ken Brooksat the ShipwreckMuseumon Wednesday 15th February at 2.30 p.m. Images of different species and their environments will be shown on a large screen for clearer identification. This includes an opportunity to handle and examine dinosaur bones and other fossils. 

If you have a fossil specimen that you would like to have identified, please bring it along.  There is always the possibility that you might have found a new species  -  which could be named after you!
